Irene Walker

 Irene graduated from Grays School of Art in 1972 and embarked on a long and worthwhile career in teaching that lasted thirty-seven years.  She is currently working as an artist in residence in her own gallery in the prestigious grounds of NTS Culzean Country Park.Irene works mainly in oils, but produces watercolours, and digital paintings. She has spent the last few years on holiday, painting and exhibiting on the Isle of Barra, where she hopes to continue to capture these beautiful Scottish islands, building a link with the Outer Hebrides and the west coast of Ayrshire. Irene was the founder of Open Studios Ayrshire and is a member of Glasgow Society of Woman Artists, The Paisley Artists Institute and also the Ayr Sketch club.
